GritX
Youth Mental Health collaboration with UCSF.
Scalable Care collaborated with the UCSF Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute to create a digital mental health application for teenagers and young adults called GritX. GritX is an emotionally intelligent chatbot that understands human emotions, intent, and context to deliver evidence-based psychoeducation and interactive wellness tools. It gives patients access to digital mental health resources anytime and anywhere, helping to alleviate care gaps between appointments and while new patients are waiting to see their providers.
Powered by natural language processing, GritX simulates real conversation, responds to users’ messages with comments and questions similar to what one would receive in a human facilitated therapy session, and directs users to appropriate resources that will further promote wellness and personal growth by offering scientifically proven tools to manage emotions, develop relationships, increase emotional intelligence, and cultivate resiliency.
Consumer Digital Healthcare Support.
Well Advised is a healthcare application that gives people a single entry-point to access and manage their healthcare and its costs. The Well Advised chatbot asks users about their healthcare needs and preferences, and then matches them to the right providers and health plans. Well Advised also helps people evaluate the cost of their healthcare and medications, review charges or denied claims, and manage important healthcare documents.
Culturally Competent and Connected Healthcare.
Scalable Care is the technology partner for mySHO (My Select Health Options), which is a digital health platform that provides technologically transformative products and services to address gaps in the health care system. Scalable Care’s partnership with mySHO enables the delivery of culturally relevant services to diverse populations, including an adapted version of GritX for mental health.
Scalable Care is also collaborating with mySHO to provide a platform that collects blood pressure data from barbershops & beauty salons nationwide. mySHO has secured a strategic partnership with the Arthur Ashe Institute for Urban Health (AAIUH) to serve as a ‘force multiplier’ for the AAIUH's existing Barbershop Talk with Brothers (BTWB) & Heart of a Woman (HOW) programs, made possible by a grant from Pfizer Rx Pathways.
